The Secret or The Law of Attraction?

No, there is no mistake about my post title.

So much has been talking about “The Secret“, a phenomena that rock the world of self help and self improvement. Honestly, I haven’t even watch The Secret DVD however, I do have an Audio series which talk about “The Secret” . I also bought “The Secret” book by Rhonda Bryne.

I am just 1/3 through on this book as I guess a book of such high acclaimed by many gurus must be slowly digested in order to really apply “The Secret“. Today I received an Google Alert and one of the alert is about a gentleman who wrote about “The Secret“, here is the excerpt I received in my email alert,

“ The Secret is the latest and by far the worst example of a HIGHLY profitable trend where self-help gurus with fabricated new age titles and little relevant education, credentials or legitimate expertise brainwash us into believing that …” read more here…

I must say I agreed though not in totality with John -the writer of this posting in my space that “The Secret” is a very clever use of The Law of Attraction ! Personally I believe, this is exactly what the entertainment industry used to drive the block buster movie apply the Law of Attraction. Marketing and advertising company used this to do promotion of products or services.

1. Creating an Awareness - There is this law that can help a person to be successful which has been keep Secret by the already Successful people
2. Get Your Attention - Buzzing about it by some of the Successful people ** to attract your attention.
3. Apply the Law of Attraction to create more buzz about it that if you do not know “The Secret” at least you know there is a DVD and book called “The Secret“
4. Prompt people into Action. - Buy the Product. DVD, book, Audio and training.

The marketing people term it as AIDA, Awareness, Interest, Desire and Action, It never fail. Human being like to relate, when a strong phenomena happens, almost everything and anything that happen to individual, more often than not is related to the phenomena. I believe that The Law of Attraction exist and every one, young or old, poor or rich are applying it without consciously knowing it. Those who know how the Law really works, consciously apply it into working to their favor, those who do not, may not be as effective as the formers and may it work the opposite way.

The Law of Attraction exist long before “The Secret“, those successful people** who buzzed about “The Secret” has been successful without watching , reading or listening to “The Secret“. When I read from a blogger that he watched “The Secret” more than 100 times, I was amazed by the sheer determination of him wanting to master “The Secret” I firmly believe he will be very successful, not because he know the secret but his determination in getting things done right..Read his story here

There is no secret, even the cave men know how to apply the Law of Attraction, want proof? When the caveman discovered that using sharp object like sharp stone or stick can kill animal more easily, all of a sudden, they started to attract more sharp objects. When the caveman discovered that by placing heavy object on top of a round object like tree trunk, can move the heavy object more easily, they suddenly attract more round object.

I believe the Law of Attraction exist and work every time, but must we know “The Secret“?

There is no Secret, it is your mind that do the Trick!

You are who you think you are and attracted to the people and thing you constantly think about it!
