Welcome back!
Am I crazy? If that caught your attention, then that’s good. Sometime I do crazy stuff but this is not what I wanted to share on this post. I rRead this interesting and thought provoking post All in the Mind Part 1 by TheGreatStone.com about stress. I can’t help but wanted to share a couple of stories I heard or read someway about how we sometime stress our self so much that when we really think over it, it;s All in the Mind as shared by thegreatstone.com
Once there was a group of psychiatrists gathered in a convention to talk about the latest way of treating their clients. They discussed in depth how depressing some of their customers were and at time some of them seemed to share the delusion or delirium of their customers. The long discussion and prolong talk on depression started to get into the toll on many of the participants . Some of them started to notice there was a pigeon flying in and around the banquet hall, but noncof them is willing to admit to other that they indeed saw a pigeon flying in the hall for fear of being labeled that they too have elusion.
It was a very stressful convention for many of them who saw the pigeon but unable to admit to other, if the word leak out, they might loose the confidence of their customers, who would see a psychiatrist whom himself is also suffering from depression and having delusion. It was a dreadful three days for these psychiatrists until the last day that the hotel management apologized for not being able to get rid of the pigeon which accidentally flew inside the banquet hall. It was a great relief to many as for once, they knew they are not crazy.
The psychiatrists who “saw’ the pigeon were stressful because they did not wanted to seek the true and just keep it to themselves. Always remember to share your pain and sorrow, there is always someone who is willing to listen and lend his or her shoulder for you to lean on. But first you must learn to let go.

It must be really difficult to be a therapist whether psychiatrist or psychologist…listening and dealing with ills of the mind has to rub off…..How does one go home not depressed from hearing all the stuff..??? Good question. I know depression is an illness…I hope someday there will be ways of curing besides harmful drugs…carol stanley author of FOr Kids 59.99 & Over.
