Jimmy is about to finish high school, he is so happy and at last he could has his dream fulfill owning a car of his own as promised by his father, never mind if it’s a second hand car. Jimmy father enthusiastically joining him to go all over the dealers in town to look for his dream car.
On his graduation day, Jimmy was so happy and rushing back home to have a feel and drive of his dream car. On reaching home, the car porch was empty, may be it was hiding some where,he thought.Entering his house, Jimmy’s father smilingly walked toward Jimmy and told him, “Son this will be the perfect gift for your graduation.” Handed over, Jimmy saw a Bible with gold plated edge. A sudden rush of disappointment and anger get over to Jimmy head, “What is he trying to do, he knew I wanted a car!” Jimmy storm out of the house and never come back.
Thirty years later, Jimmy received a message that his old man had died and he went back to his home town attending his father funeral. Going back to his old house, nothing seems to change, he walk into his room, it was kept exactly the same as the day he left the house thirty years ago. His bed, his favorite postal, the furniture and Jimmy spotted one thing extra, it was the Bible his father gave him the day he graduated. Jimmy can never forget that day when he had the biggest disappointment of his life
Picking up the Bible, the memory of his father come back and Jimmy remember the old good days he had with his father but that very day, ruined it all. Jimmy slowing opening up the Bible and flip through, and he spotted one thing, it was a check. A check with the exact amount on the cost of the car he wanted dated on his graduation day. Jimmy suddenly understood what he father was trying to do, but it’s all too late.
Never Let Your Anger Rule Over Your Heart, and if you have something to say to someone, do it now, don’t wait. Time wait for no one. Don’t live to regret about it.












































This is such a great story and insight. I do hate my father sometimes (as a teenager) if he doesn’t give me what I want, but I don’t get to the point of not talking to him very long. Although sometimes I really find it hard to say sorry to him.:)
