I first heard about Anthony Robbins  more than fifteen years ago when I was actively involved in Young Leadership Training Organisation and a national officer an trainer. I heard Tony’s name  from some of the seminars I attended. Back then I haven’t cultivated the habit of reading yet to get to know his work that change many lives.

About ten years ago, when the Financial Crisis hit Asia, the economy of most Asian countries were gloomy and many people were demotivated. By chance, I was again introduced to Tony Robbins books to get motivated. I bought his second books “Unleash The Power Within!” It was a thick book and talking about some heavy stuff, at least it was what I thought then. After finishing the whole book, I could only remember a few points from this book. Three of which I remember until today is

1. Raise Your Standard

2. Change Your Limiting Belief

3. Change Your Strategy.

The detail of which we will discuss later in this blog.

During that time, I also joined a network marketing company to make extra moneyt income in addition to my daily job income as the financial crisis really drived the cost of many essential items to roof high.

With my new found motivational ideas, I shared with many of my friends and acquaintances and in three short years, we build one of the biggest group in our state controlling half of the membership and sale for the company in that state.

I later found out that “Unleash the Power within!” was Tony’s second book and his first is “Unlimited Power!” That was in 1999. Unlimited Power was a foundation to the “Unleashed The Power Within”. It talked about how Successful People behave and act with lots of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) language from cahaning your thinking instantly, modelling, anchoring to pacing and leading. Tony had modified and better the NLP  to NAC (Neuro-Associating Conditioning). I also did not understand much of what the book taught especially the NAC or NLP language. One thing I remembered, I wrote on my GOAL CARD that I wanted to attend his “Fire Walk” seminar and walk the fire.

In year 2000, I attended another seminar and the organizer announced that Anthony Robbins is coming to Singapore in 2001 to do his famous “FireWalk” seminar. The first in Asia. “The Law of Attraction” creep in and worked! Needless to say, I signed up immediately with my wife (On your road your Personal Development and Success, you MUST always get your spouse involved, it is utmost importance!) The seminar cost about $8000 for two, including travel and lodging and many incidental expenses, it cost us almost $15,000. It was a heavy toll but worth every penny of it and much more!  It was the most beneficial seminar we attended even till todate after so many other seminars.

Before we went, we thought the FireWalk would be the Grand Finale of the 4 days seminar, but how wrong were we. It was the first exercise that we need to go through the very first night. Wow , you have to be there to feel the “HEAT!” and feel the sensation on the following three days where Tony literally hypnotized more than 4000 participants with his voice. You just have to be there to believe it!

In the seminar, Tony taught many of the NAC techniques with life practices and it clear all the doubts that we had on reading the Unlimited Power book. It was so simple to implement and create great result! We put what we learned into our sales career and found that people even strangers share many intimate or confidential information with us.

Tony energy for the 4 days semanar was fantastic and we were all influence by him and for the 4 days whihc lasted from 9.00 am to midnight every day, all of the particpants were full of energy and enthusiasm and the message that Tony wanted us to remember is If you Want to be Massively Successful in LIFE, You MUST take Massive Action!
