Allow me to asked this question if you have read yesterday posting A frog Tale of Motivation
Just came back from a long weekend “Gawai Dayak” -Harvest Festival Holiday. BTW, if you are from Sarawak, Selamat Hari Gawai. It was a fruitful holiday as I was staying with my in-law and due to some constraint, I decided not to log into the net. Nowadays, if you do not surf the net for a day, is like you are missing something, but it was a very wise decision for me as I have finally been able to complete part one of my long outstanding ebook on Motivation - Bring Out the Best in You! Strictly speaking, it is more of a Training Guide and workbook than a book.
About 14 years ago, I was heavily involved in an International Youth Training Organization and during the years I was the National Vice President, I did many training to the Chapter Members under my care, one of which is “Bring Out the Best in You!” I believe I must have quite good at the training
and after so many years, there are members who met me and thanking for me “motivating” them to scale the higher position in this youth training organiztaion, a couple of them even went to the internationally level.
Interestingly, when I have the idea of going into the training industry, I was surrounded by a group of frogs that “cheered” me down. I guess that was my mistake for not disassociate with them earlier. Nontheless, the flame in me never die off. After attending the “The Millionaire Mind Intensive” seminar, few things that the trainers said stroke me
- there is some knowledge and skill that you have and many people are waiting for it.
- to win you must complete the journey
- serve first and the return will come many folds
- do what you can now and perfect it as you go along, never wait for perfect timing and have all your resources as you may never have it all.
- do it and you will find the energy to do more.
So, over the long weekend holiday, I decided to restraint myself to the net and TV to revise the Training manual of “Bring Out the Best in You!” and as it seem that “the Secrets” is working for me that I able to completely revised it in 2 days without much resources. Remember, I said earlier, I was in a very small town and not being able to looking into my personally library for references.
So you see, sometimes is good to be back to nature and away from those frogs that always have a ball for somethings but who “cheer” you down when you are on the way up.
Which frog are you? The half deaf frog who defy all discouragement and get out of the well or the group of “cheering down” peer frogs. It’s time to look serious who are you surrounding yourself with.
BTW, I decide to give away “Bring Out The Best In You!” for F.R.E.E.
I strongly believe if you like my blog, you will like the book even more.
